Carey was a top fashion model who stands at 5'10" she was a favorite of American fashion designers such as Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father was an eminent geologist and named Scientist in 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. In the course of his professional career Carey has been raised across the world. When she finished her studies at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she began to model on the side. The idea caught the attention of a Ford Model Agency New York. She briefly lived and studied in Paris before returning to New York. Her modeling and college career took off and she was featured on Vogue's, Glamour's, as well as many other covers of magazines. While she was modeling, she was a full time student obtaining a major in literary studies at New York University. When she began studying acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse, New York, her enthusiasm for acting increased. The year 1986 was the year she had her first acting role which was a part of Club Paradise, with Robin Williams. White water rafting, skis and rock climbing are among her most loved activities.
