Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American actor-producer and stage actress has been known for her roles in the movie Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer. She is involved in the world of film and television. She began her acting career as a theater actress and then appeared in a number of television series and independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also received a host of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. She made her professional debut as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Stage credits comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Her film work is highlighted by her roles on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her role on television on ABC's drama series about police High Incident has earned her praises.
